High-precision, non-wear tip processing is possible! We introduce examples of spherical processing with high roundness.

At Seirin, we are working on a more precise "tip grinding processing technology." As a result, we have achieved a high precision of roundness at 0.235 µm with no wear on the tip spherical surface processing. This time, the roundness measurement data was provided by Mitaka Optical Co., Ltd. With high roundness accuracy, we can access the targeted location without any axis deviation. Additionally, we have successfully achieved high precision spherical surface processing with a roundness of 0.904 µm even at a distance of 300 µm from the tip, with no wear. Our company has realized mass production of high roundness spherical surface processing even for ultra-fine wires of φ0.08 mm, enabling stable supply.
